美國人常常掛在嘴邊的一句話，可以被譯為「你懂了嗎？」，也可以說是「你拿到（東西）了嗎？」而在GET後面加入不同的詞句，則有更多不同解釋。
Did you "GET" it? 你懂以下所有GET的相關片語嗎?
1. Get real 別傻了; 看清事實
Real (真／事實) 亦為 Get a reality check (做檢查認清事實)，用於勸導過度理想、或是不知世事的人。
You are not going to win your employees' loyalty when you overwork them and pay them minimum wage. Get real!
你不可能用最低工資及超時工作贏得員工的心，看清事實吧！
2. Get a life 做點正經事
Life (人生) 在此意指比較有趣、有意義的人生，通常用在勸導生活單一枯燥或是沉溺於單一活動的人。
Stop being a couch potato, go out and get a life!
別坐在電視前動都不動，出去做點其他事吧！
3. Get a grip 冷靜一點
Grip（把握、掌控）在此為控制自己，多用於建議情緒無法掌控的人。
She needs to get a grip and focus on something else other than her anger.
她得冷靜一點，專注在生氣以外的其他事情上。
4. Get the picture 了解了
picture（圖片），常用在確定對方是否了解個大概。
I got the picture; you don't have to repeat yourself.
我了解了，你不必一直重複。
5. Get across 讓別人了解
Across (橫越)，與Get the picture相似，但Get across較常用在特定的觀點或意見，而Get the picture則是指大概情況。
I don't know how to get my point across when you refuse to listen to me.
如果你不聽我說的，我就沒辦法讓你理解我想說的。
6. Get lost 滾
Lost (迷失／丟掉)，較不尊重的口語，不適用於上司、長輩。
I don't want to hear bickering anymore, just get lost!
我不想再聽到爭吵了，給我滾。
7. Get on someone's nerves 讓人火大
Nerve (神經)，意指雖不讓人生氣到大罵出口，但很讓人不愉快。
She is very talented, but her attitude just gets on my nerves.
她很有天份，但是她的態度讓我很火大。
8. Get along with 與...和睦相處
Along (沿著)，常與with 合用，with 後接相處對象。
She has such an easy-going personality that she gets along with just about anybody.
她隨遇而安的性格讓她與人相處和睦。
9. Get by 過得去
by (經過／用...)，意指雖不是首選，但勉強能過日。
My part-time job may not be ideal, but I get by.
打工雖不理想，但我日子還過得去。
10. Get over 克服
over (結束／在...之上)，
Breaking up is never easy, but you need to get over it and move on.
分手從不容易，但你得趕快克服這些才能往前走。
