下面的這些句子，你可以找出錯誤嗎 ?

1. The cherry flowers are very beautiful. 櫻花很漂亮。

2. The bus came late for 10 minutes, so I was late for school. 公車晚了十分鐘來，所以我上學遲到了!

3. This is my first time to travel by train. 這是我第一次搭火車旅行。

4. He almost swims every day. 他幾乎每天游泳。

5. I suggested him to buy a new car. 我建議他買新車。
 

Debug answers:

1. The cherry blossoms are beautiful.
在英文中，花不全都是 flower ! 長在地面上的花是 “ flower”，長在樹上的花叫 " blossom "，例如 apple blossom, orange blossoms。不過請注意當成的禮物的”花”則一律用 “ flower”。

2. The bus came 10 minutes late, so I was late for school.
受到中文字詞順序 ” 晚了十分鐘，遲到一小時 “ 的影響，我們習慣把時間放在late後面：”late for 10 minutes, late for one hour…” ，這是很容易犯的錯誤。
在英文中，”時間”要放在late前面: “The bus came 10 minutes late.”，” I was one hour late.”。這時候late 是副詞，放在後面修飾整個句子。
I was late for school 的 late 則是形容詞，放在 be 動詞 “ was “ 的後面形容主詞 “ I “ 的狀態。

3. This is the first time I have travelled by train.
不論是什麼的第一次，在英文都是用 “ the first time “。後面用現在完成式” I have travelled”，明確表達出從過去到現在的經驗。
