• render 使得、提供、呈報
The treasurer rendered an account of all the money spent.

• admit 可容納、容許
The conference hall admits 1000 people.
那會議廳可容納1000個人。

• serve 適用、足夠
A simple example will serve to illustrate the point.

• oblige 使不得不
They were obliged to sell their house in order to pay their debts.
他們被迫賣房還債。
